Town Hall Theatre

ANIMAL HOUSE FOR THE FRC WEEK OF WELCOME

The Town Hall Theatre gets into the spirit of a new school year during the Week of Welcome for Feather River College with special screenings of the cult classic film National Lampoon's Animal House. The film will screen on Thursday & Friday August 26th & 27th at 7pm. There will also be a 9:30 late show on Friday August 27th. FRC Students who show a current Student ID will be receive a $5 admission to any of these screenings To add to the fun of the downtown merchant reception on Thursday, August 26th from 4 to 8pm, members of the Feather River College S.I.F.E. (Students in Free Enterprise) group will host toga-wrapping demonstrations in front of the Town Hall Theatre. FRC Students, staff and alumni as well as the community in general are invited to attend the Friday Night 9:30 show of Animal House in costume as any of the films characters — or in Toga attire— for a festive community event. There will be prizes for costumes.

Located at Pioneer Park Fairgrounds Road Quincy, CA 95971. Residents, college students, and hospital employees are invited to come to the third annual Community Wellness Fair and 5k fun run / walk on Saturday, August 28 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Pioneer Park Quincy. The event is appropriate for all ages and will feature fitness demonstrations, vendor / informational booths and many hands-on-activities like a bounce house, tumbling circuit, swimming, horseshoes, bocce ball and volleyball. The 5k fun run / walk will begin at Pioneer Park at 9 a.m. 5k registration fee for pre-registration is $10, and race-day registration is $15. Registration fee includes a T-shirt for those who pre-register by August 26th. T-shirts will be available the day of the race as long as supplies last. Children 12 and under may walk free with a registered parent or guardian (no T-Shirt). Homemade apple pies will be awarded for top male and female in each age group. 5k registration forms may be picked up at the Plumas District Hospital main lobby, Plumas Physical Therapy, Feather River Fitness or the Central Plumas Parks and Recreation District main office.
